Cellulolytic Pectate Lyse Enzyme For Fabric Pre-Treatment
Cottonese BT CNC is a ready-to-use concentration of a Cellulolytic Pectate Lyse enzyme
product for textile pre-treatment.
This is a new innovation unique system for fabric scouring and bio-finishing. It
gives superior fabric cleanup under neutral pH conditions in all types of
processing equipment.
Raas Biotech uses state-of-the-art biotechnology methods. Cottonese BT CNC is unique
and contains a Cellulolytic Pectate Lyse enzyme produced by a genetically modified
organism. The enzyme is produced by a natural fermentation process and is

Process Simplicity
Combined Scouring and de-pilling. The ability of this enzyme to perform fabric cleanup
under neutral pH allows combining scouring and De-pilling in a single bath. This reduces
processing time and enables increased production throughput.
No pH adjustment. Cottonese BT CNC works optimally over the entire range of potential
incoming process water pH Typically, no time is necessary for adding pH adjustment
Reduce Process Time as scouring and de-pilling occurs in the same bath with neutral
condition it reduces pre-treatment time significantly.
Reduced Water. In a single bath Cottonese BT CNC performs scouring and de-pilling
together. So at least 3 baths can save.
Save Energy. Cottonese BT CNC can work as low as 60 °C. Incoming process water needs
minimal heating to bring the bath into operating temperatures, reducing time (enabling
increased production) and saving energy.
Ecological Benefits with savings of water and energy this process eliminates most harsh
part of dyeing cycle and this is high temperature caustic scouring. So less impact on
Effluent Treatment Plant.
High Quality Fabric
Preserved fabric strength and weight. Enzymatic Scouring and De-pilling process
provides surface cleanup without aggressive change to the underlying fabric fibers. This
provides higher fabric strength and weight retention when compared to traditional
caustic scouring and cellulase de-pilling process.

Cottonese BT CNC
Reduce Process Loss. Scouring and de-pilling with Cottonese BT CNC results in
exceptionally clean fabric surfaces including oil, wax and hairiness. Due to gentle action
Cottonese BT CNC on the surface of the fabric, it retains more natural structure than classic
scouring process. It reduce the use of dye to achieve desired color, or the same amount of
dye to increase dye color intensity.
Consistent Fabric quality. Cottonese BT CNC gives reproducible fabric look and feel even
under moderate variations in processing pH, temperature, and time. This product can
provide the process robustness required to minimize time consuming and costly dyeing
Fabric Appearance and feel. This process imparts gorgeous look and very lofty hand-feel
to the fabric.
The activity of the enzyme is expressed in Pectate Lyse Cellulase Units (PLCU) against an
internal standard to ensure lot-to-lot consistency. The enzyme activity value is not a
measure for performance. A detailed assay method is available upon request.
If necessary, Cottonese BT CNC enzyme can be inactivated by increasing the pH of the biofinishing
bath to a pH > 9.0 and holding for 5 minutes. Soda ash (sodium carbonate), borax
(sodium borate) or an alkaline detergent are recommended for pH adjustment.
Cottonese BT CNC enzyme is available in 29 kg pails, 220 kg drums and 1125 kg totes.
Cottonese BT CNC enzyme can be stored at room temperature (up to 25°C) in a sealed
container. Reformulated products should also be packaged in sealed containers. Storage
and Stability information is available upon request.
Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be avoided. In case of contact with the skin or
eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. For detailed handling information,
